KLS Community Celebrates Spirit Week 2021
Students LeadSpirit Week Celebrations
During the last week of October, students across both of our campuses have been celebrating Spirit Week! In keeping with our student-centered approach to education, student leaders at our Mountain View campus, home to Khan Lab High School, and our Palo Alto Campus, home to our Lower and Middle Schools, have been leading the charge with planning fun theme days for the community.
At our Palo Alto campus, the middle school student leadership team collaborated to develop different theme dress up days for their peers, including a Decade Day, Pajama Day, Wacky Hair Day, and more. Student leaders at our Mountain View campus also led the charge in developing daily themes, complete with a friendly competition keeping track of Spirit Week participants.
The exciting week culminates in multiple community events. On Friday, October 29, families and students in our Lower and Middle Schools will gather in community for a Fall Festival organized by our Family Association. The Fall Festival marks our first community event at our Palo Alto campus, and will feature crafts, the costume parade, games, a photo booth, snacks, and more surprises.
Friday also marks a special event for high school students at our Mountain View campus. The high school Leadership Team will be hosting a semi-formal fall dance to end the week, which will be one of their first major student-led events this Term.
We're looking forward to keeping the energy from Spirit Week going with more school traditions and opportunities to be together as a community this year!
